Reliance Jio launches Submarine Cable System: Reliance Jio launched the Asia-Africa-Europe (AAE-1) Submarine Cable System on Thursday. This AAE-1 will provide 100Gbps technology and it will be stretched over 25,000 Kms. This new cable system will connect Marseille, France, to Hong Kong, with 21 cable landings across Asia and Europe.

The AAE-1 Cable system will help the rising demand for video-centric content in India and abroad says Jio. Also, the company says that this cable system will link all the other cable systems and fiber networks in order to deliver direct access to various global markets.

The Submarine Cable system is launched by Reliance Jio at the time when India’s need for Data is rising and Consumers in the world’s biggest telecom market have started using the Internet for Streaming Videos, Music and TV on the Go. Jio has played a vital role in increasing the data Consumption in India.

In order to implement this biggest project, the company has worked with popular service providers from Europe, Middle East, and Asia. Jio consists of  Points of Presence in Asia (Hong Kong and Singapore) and three onward connectivity options (via France, Italy, and Greece ), the system is anticipated to offer “requisite flexibility and diversity” for various carriers and customers. This new submarine system will bring up to 40 terabytes of new capacity in the whole region.

Mathew Oommen, President at Jio said the new terabit capacity and 100Gbps direct connectivity to global content hubs. Due to this, Jio will offer High-Speed Internet Connection and amazing digital experience. Also, he added that “We are excited to participate in the launch and deliver the cable landing in Mumbai at the time when India’s data traffic continues its accelerated data consumption and growth.”

Apart from this, Jio ensures that due to its immense design, the route will provide lowest latency routes between Hong Kong, India, Middle East and Europe. Jio provides Network Operations & Management for AAE-1 Cable System. The AAE-1, NOC (Network Operations Center) will provide a new-age facility in Mumbai with advanced tools and automation.
