Certain apps allow you to delete the message from your as well as the recipient’s phone anyway the message has been viewed by the receiver. Also, some of the apps have an edit feature.
Currently, WhatsApp doesn’t allow this feature in its current version. According to the latest tweet by WABetaInfo, the recall feature will be enabled in the WhatsApp version 2.17.30+. WhatsApp has already rolled out version 2.17.30+ for the iOS, but the feature is not yet added. So, the fan site WABetaInfo says that it’s not yet set that when WhatsApp will roll out the feature, but it will launch in version 2.17.30 or higher.
Later on, the WABetaInfo also replies that the Contacts Tab was removed from the iOS when the Status tab was introduced while Contact tab was suggested for a comeback. Also, WABetaInfo indicates that the Contacts tab will be introduced inside the Status tab and the WhatsApp is currently testing that feature as well. However, there is no certain timeline when the company will introduce this update.
According to WABetaInfo, the Status tab is also going to be launched in the web version. The feature will have the same features as the app on Mobile.
However, there are also reports that the WhatsApp is working on other feature called “Change Number” in which all of your friends and family members will be notified once you change the number.
Currently, WhatsApp has more than 1.2 Billion Active Users worldwide. It is available in about 50 different languages.
